In Betweens is to the right of Rockpiles. To get there you must drive past the Halekolani and park by the shore, then just paddle out.
Easy to find?
Good day length
Good swell direction
Good wind direction
Swell sizeStarts working at and holds up to
Best tide position
Best tide movement
Park in the parking lot by the Halekolani hotel. Paddle out to the right of the rock boulders. Time the
sets or you may get hurt. In Betweens creates a bowl on the inside that
usually pinches. Watch out for the far left section because of the rocks and hazards. If it gets small paddle right to Rock Piles or left to Alamoana bowls.
Nice spot when all else is small because it has enough waves to go around. Not crowded so you share waves and there is no localism. The reef is the only hazards(i broke and scratched my skeg a couple times.) Nice waves for longboarders, shortboarders should go right to rockpiles.
Nice spot for all around longboarding.

Since I don't surf any more, I tell you this.. - I surfed a hollow right (3-12+),or what we called 'Inbetweens' in the eighties. By looking at the map, it ain't even on there! They are showing 'Rockpiles', and the description of same is of 'Rockpiles'. The hollow close out barrel called Inbetweens is the next spot over from Kaiser lefts. It holds to over 20+, and I know because a friend of mine and I almost drown there in July of '85- the same day that James Jones took a photo of Ala Mo Bowls breaking over the old channel marker, which was 20 feet from mean sea level. I'll tell you all about it because I no longer surf there and even if I did I wouldn't care about you all in the line up at 10+ feet because you have to know where to line up and I ain't wearin' no leash 'cause leashes are for sissies and girls! The other posters are right- Inbetweens is the hollow close out right to the left of Rockpiles. BTW- THEY ARE MAKEABLE WITH AN EIGHT FOOT SINGLE FIN PINTAIL

In-Betweens - I dont know what that guy was saying in the write-up that inbetweens is a longboard wave, This is a spot that works on a big SW swell and it breaks "in-between rockpiles & kaisers. On a lower tide, overhead south swell, you can get some sick spinning right barrels. Not all the waves are makeable but they are fun and if its on you wont have to battle it out with the pack @ kaisers. The toughest thing on a decent south swell might be just trying to find PARKING!!!

firing - All you guys are clueless, in betweens is one of the better kept secrets in that area because when the waves get really big in town...too big for Kaisers and when bowls is breaking at the channel bowl, in betweens is firing, stand up barrels, not all makeable, but big tubes either way
