the reason its five star and backdoor isnt, is because bomburas is so much better than backdoor. I am the kala of magic island and if you question my autority me and my hui will give you some manly love.

Not even. Pictures are of Big Lefts or Baby Haleiwa's. Inside of that is Craigsland. Bombura's is strait outside magic island. 5 stars? Pipe is 5 stars! Ala Moana Bowls is 4. At best a rare 3 stars. 2 stars Hawaiian style...

Picture is wrong
Bombura's IS outside of Magic Island. A better left with a short barrel of a right that takes you to the rock wall. 5 stars? Only if you hit the wall. Nice, fun, OK even, but 2 maybe 3 stars on a very good day. Pictures are of Baby Haleiwa's or I've heard been called Big Lefts. Inside right that is independent of that is called Craigsland. Baby's is a deep water kind of wave that can take some size. Bombura's needs size and swell direction (SSE) to work. Inside of that you have a very shallow reef that the spongers go off on. I like my fins so I can only guess how good that gets but why bother...

Bomboras?
I think there is a mix up here! Bomboras is the mushy left that breaks in front of Majic Island. It can get fun but not 5 star! The photos is of a place we called baby haleiwa. That place can get real good, but it is fickle.

Bowls minus the crowd
Bomburas gets sick on a solid south swell. problem is getting in and out of the water. if tide is low, good luck paddling in on a big day. once you do, enjoy the barrells as everybody esle jockeys for waves at the other much more crowded spots along the south.

best left in town
I just have to say, this spot is fantastic, good clean left, not crowded... people real friendly if you go morning or before the afternoon kiddie rush.

a little difficult getting into the water... had a friend smash a longboard... if you time it right, you can paddle out from magic island lagoon, otherwise you have to jump off the wall and avoid the rocks.
