8 foot. what??? - I grew up surfing here. then moved my way to moana bowls in the summer and country in the winter. never seen bellows over 3 ft faces. but i decided to go there to teach son to surf. and it was 8 to 10 ft. the protective outer reef must have been double over head. since then still haunt seen it past 3 ft

one star.... - bellows is an average bech break that doesnt get many waves cuz its protected by an outer reef, hence the one star rating, what do you expect? go back to florida if you think it sucks here, one less tourist kook we have to deal with. we live in the surf mecca of the world, good luck growing some balls in florida.

agree with rusha - Im from Florida too, but the ocean and hawaiians deserve alot more respect than that. You oviously didnt go anywhere else while you were there. You pry wouldnt make it out at most of the spots.

stupid haole - first of all if you think bellows is the famous surf spot its not ok. so dont go saying us hawaiians need to grow some balls. second i would love to see you come the sandys and your ass pounded.

- bellows is a good beach for begginers but the shorebreak isnt as powerful as these kooks are saying it is.i would reccomend sandys for kamikazis or more experienced riders. u can get thrashed in the shorebreak there. hella scary droping into the barrels.bellows is way to mushy.well u newbs enjor ur stay at bellows ~fricken white boys~

- I don't know what beachisgood is talking about. This spot is great.

best conditions - da best time to go bellows is when the tide is rising. especially when its 0.8+ tide and rising with kona winds. pretty mushy, closouts everywhere, but you can get those 1-2 second barrel closeouts if your lucky lol. definitely a place for b-boarding cause its 1) to close to shore to surf. 2) shorebreak 3)waves always closeouts. so if you go bellows always bring your b-board and not your surfboard. watch out for the man-o-wars and sewage spills..
