this is a very fun begginer wave near the town of Lahaina.the crowd is pretty friendly especiaaly to kids.watch out for the unexperianced adults though

was in maui last summer, and surfed here. i just had a rental longboard (couldn't afford to ship my own boards over) but still had a blast here. awesome zippy little section for noserides on the inside; you can stand on the nose forever. don't stay on the tip for too long though, because you will fall into 6" of water and the coral will bite you- i got lucky though, just a little scrape. between waves, you can either stare out over the water at the other island or watch the clouds drift over the mountains back behind the highway. beautiful.the vibe was pretty mellow, and even though i only surfed here for about 3-4 days, i made friends with a couple of the "locals" (i hate that word). we got our own little lineup going, shared waves, complimented each other's noserides, and just enjoyed some perfect little zippers in paradise. it was great. surfing here is like anywhere- have a smile on your face, show that you're not a kook, and you'll fit right in.all in all, this is a really, really great longboard spot. hope everybody enjoys it as much as i did.

cool spot
this place is awesome fun. i surfed here on my vacation out from CA and had a great time. got lots of waves and the people were very nice. really shallow though...............
