Place to stay...
I'm hoping to find a nice house to rent for my family when we vacation on Maui. There will be 7-10 of us, and we will need accomodation during the end of September through the 2nd week of October. I'm hoping to be near a snorkeling/surfing beach, and a shopping area for the ladies. If you can help, please email me: cdkyle@gmail.com.

Thanks!!

Hawaii is not North America
Get it right or shut it down.

Surf in Maui during May
I'll be staying on Kahana Beach. I'm looking for a spot in May that'll be near by Kahana Beach for surfing.
Please let me know if you have any. I plan on bringing a 6'4" Al Merrick and a 9'0" Donald Takayama.

mike from PensacolaFlorida
Please help. I am a very average surfer (mid 30s, long border, surfed small waves in Florida and some in Mexico...maybe 5 foot swells at most) and will be in Maui in April. I did live in Hawaii when I was very young, but I am no local. I need help on handle these issues...

*Should a intermediate surfer get an instructor?

*How should I handle locals and their unwritten surfer rules? I want to play by the rules.

*I am not very savy on when it is "my turn" to take a wave. We don't have so many surfers when I am out in Florida.

*What is the best area to stay?

*Should I bring a board (what a pain) or can I rent?

*I have no clue how to handle coral. I surfed in Mexico with some rock, but we had wet suits on so that helped. How do I handle this?

Thanks for any other basic info.
