Additional Surfing Infos
Wide pocket of calcareous sand fronted by a shallow sandbar at the head of the bay. Ironwood trees line the backshore. Surf sites are found at the small point at the west end of the beach, in the shorebreak on the sandbar, and at the outside point at the east end of the beach.

Wtf.
Let me throw this out there.. I suck at surfing. I used to live in a desert, so I guess I should suck. This has nothing to do with surfing, this has to do with Kalihiwai.

My parents just moved here and as we say in California, bitches be fronting. I guess cause we're not as tan as you locals we apparently are shitty people who don't deserve to be here, or at least some of you seem to think that. Supposedly some white kid cussed out my dad too, said his family has been here over 50 years. Well mahalo for being here kid but now I'm here so get the fuck off my lawn.

Basically what I'm trying really hard to say is, hi. I hope I don't have problems with anyone on this beach, especially since my family lives here now. To the kid that cussed out my dad, fuck you. To everyone else, if I have to smoke you out for surf lessons in winter, I will.. :O

fuckin get real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All you stupid fucks talking shit about locals being territorial must be kooks. First of all when you surf ANYWHERE in the world just out of respect don't go pushing your weight around like your the fucking shit even if you rip. Be humble and you'll probably get some good waves. All locals at any spot should be territorial, it's natural. And who's gives a fuck if you know Jiu jitsu because everybody thats a local on Kauai knows jiu-jitsu too. Basically don't talk shit and don't paddle to the top of the line up if it ain't your grounds. NOCOMEKAUAI in the first place.

The Best
This spot is probably the best kept secret in the surf world. There really isn't much more to say. The wave, when it is good, maybe 5 days a month each winter, is as good as anywhere in the world. People come to Kauai and live for this wave. The locals have lost most of the control. Since Titus has gotten old and has to tow the corporate line and all the young pro's have sold out to the surf corps, there is no one to protect the wave. They all have to be good boys. If you keep your head down and wait your turn, you will get some. Serves them right for promoting surfing all over the world. You reap what you sow...
