the point does go off over a very shallow sharp reef, i paddled out from the beachbreak and saw a huge fning shark. Camped out one night and saw some of the best waves ever while I lived there for one year, also close by on a big swell is a hidden spot that holds a large swell, better be good though, or you will get cut to pieces.

Go to hapuna in the afternoon and get stung....
It's all about the real hapuna wave. One of the sickest waves I've seen in my opinion. It goes off during the winter time. Siiiiiiiick wave.

very true, the real wave is the one you want that bowls like pipe. surfed it for the past 10 years and have been pushed out by the real locals and thats the tiger's too too close for comfort
