Suicide This a dangerous spot, do not go out without friends to help you or when its huge. Surfing is like a 5 second wave before you gotta bail or get turned to burger meat. The local bodyboarders are very well attuned to the spot, ask them for some tips. I go freediving of the coast there I have never seen a shark.

Crazy Sick Pits This wave can hurt you badly. Extremely rocky and dangerous, better left to look at and respect from afar. Huge sharks off Upolu too.

see this wave every day almost i work on the coast guard boat that overlooks this spot, little advice, if you arent comfortable in triple overhead plus days, then dont think about going out here on a head high day. My buddy i work with dragged a bodyboarder out of harms way a few months ago, the bodyboarder said he had already accepted that he was going to die, before getting plucked out. got my buddy a lifesaving medal and the bodyboarder a new apprciation for mother ocean. strong currents, sharp live reef and about as consistant as a tweeker with ADD.

Watch Out CG isn't a spot for the average surfer, or even a better than average surfer. In 5th Symphony, when Shane Dorian surfs CG (and it has be as big as it was in the video for the spot to even be ridable), a group of pros including Dorian went driving up north on a big north swell to find some spots to surf. The other pros (ben brough among others) wouldn't even go out. The rocks are very hard, and the coral very sharp. Classic Big island spot: gotta make it. And they aren't all makeable. If you aren't Shane Dorian don't even try. And the hardest part about CG is getting out of the water.
