If you are coming from Houston as most people would be, Take the freeway to Freeport the navigate via road signs that lead to surfside beach. Before you go over the surfside bridge a sign will say quintana and you simply drive down that road and over a bridge and then your there. Access is easy. All you have to do is simply drive your car on to the beach but remember to avoid the wet sand. By the way, you don't really need a 4x4 either... (walk it's better)
your gunna need to make the long paddle out to the farthest break for power and longer rides. Make surf when you park your car on the beach that you dont go on the wet sand or else youll get stuck.
Overview
Atmosphere
Its pretty cool when its just you and your friends because hardly anyone else comes to this spot. everyone goes to surfside which is on the other side of the ship channel. however the ocean floor here actually creates bigger, better, more powerful waves that have longer rides to them as opposed to surfside.
