It can go from sloppy storm surf to glassy fun sections, all around good surf spot and good vibe. Unfortunately, they have dredged this spot and put T-Groins in which have all but killed the wave.

Upham - Yes. Thank you very much "Coastal Preservation" people for runing our surf break. I was skeptical when when everyone was hopeful about those T-Groins improving the break. and now it's DESTROYED!!! It doesn't even break anymore. And for the record - Upham was always mushy. No - it was never Pipe, but it was OUR break here in St. Pete and much of our little culture embraced it. It's dead now thanks to burocracy and condo owners.

RIP Upham Beach - Upham is dead, its had T Groins installed, inflated ugly ass yellow bags filled with sand that destroyed the break there. There is no more surfing at Upham Beach

Upham - Friendly surfers and good conditions after a good storm. Hard to get past the break during hurricane Dennis.
