nevermind!
I was seriously considering try to surf a little while I was in Naples, a friend of mine was teaching me while I lived in SC, however now that I see how rude most of you are to people attempting to surf (like you should have a monopoly on the surf in FL!) I'll probablly rethink my decision. Thank you for being so inclusive of people who'd like to try what you make out to be the best thing ever! Jerks

marco has some sweet surf..if your going to surf marco try south beach or residents. The surf peels down the beaches and gives a long ride.

naples pier
hey, im a canadian surfer coming in from nova scotia, primarily surfin on martinique, lawrence town, and cowbay. I'm going to be staying on Marco Island for 10 days am really hoping I can find some decent waves around my area without too long of a drive, can somebody help me out??

gets good on north side when theres a storm lurkin in the gulf on a nw when a cold front rolls through the south side can go off on an incoming tide last winter head high n hollow thin lips lots of fun

today (the 25th) we had mushy thigh high longboard waves, but I wouldn't count on surfing unless there was a hurricane on the way, or you're visiting in the winter time....

Surf in Naples?
My folks just got a place in Naples. I surf NJ all year, but am wondering if it is worth bringing a board to Naples? Is there any surf at all? I'd bring a log to surf 2 ft waves if they have them, but I can't find any good surf reports or spots in the Naples area. Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks...
