Super South Hurricane Swell
When the storm is next to Key West sending a fat swell northward it goes off. Offshores, and barrelly sections, reminiscent of Hatteras. IRB is right where the coastline is facing directly west, so the swell curls around the land perfectly. Many days out there, with less than 5 people out with sweet sections. Hurricane Dennis was the shiz.

Indian Rocks Beach is the place
All I have to say is IRB ROCKS!!!!!

gulf coast surf??
hey, i am going to be vacationing with my family the end of august to st. petersburg florida. was wondering if there is any surf on that side of the state/places to rent some gear/etc. i may get to spend one night on the east coast, but it looks like most of my time will be on the gulf. i am coming from massachusetts and thought it might be fun to try surfing without 4mm of rubber on. email me back if you can, agape21@juno.com, don't know if i'll be able to find this page again.

I hate the lake right now!!
Man its driving me crazy how long its been with no swell... April was the last day to even take a board out of the closet. Still waiting for a wicked day of surf.

Dont know if you guys know but theres a cool website, kinda simple, its called irbsurf.com. Provied surf reports ALLMOST everyday. Cool videos and pictures too. Check it out!

I have lived in the Redingotn IRb area for like 3 years, and i have seen some epic wavs. IRB is probably one of my favorite breaks and so is Redington. When its working i lve to go to either of them. You guys need to be quiet and just surf or go to the other coast.
