Per local: Don't mess around here!
As a local to this break for more than 15years, I can tell you it is a reat wave and we locals are very easy to deal with, IF you respect the basic rules! You can be a retard and drop in on people at your home break but you try that shit here and you will leave with a broken board and most likely a busted face! This spot has gotten soooo crowded and that is typical of a good wave spot, but that doesn't mean it's anarchy! Take your turn, be respectful, don't snake people and you'll get along just fine and have plenty of fun. If not, I'd advise surfing somewhere else and skip the trip to the hospital.

if the locals are such bad asses they should control the spot and not let a bunch of dweebs steal their waves

Wake-up
T.D. needs to quit giving out surf reports from beach street. Joe Web and Mark Brado rule that spot and the old school guys need to take back control. Good thing I left there years ago, but it was a great wave at one time. Aloha

S. Robertson is a kook!
With that said, 15 foot at beach street, deeznuts? I can't even comment on what kind of idiot you are. S.Robinson cracks us all up with his northie talk. the jokes of you for driving an hour and a half to surf the gulf.

Losers
Beachstreet USED to be my favorite wave in Sarasota/Manatee.Over the years it has become crowded with losers that don't even live on Anna Maria. As well as losers that do live on Anna Maria. These people complain only to come back to the same spot time and time again. The funny part is they are all so blinded by easy parking and easy access to the beach, that they don't even realize on longboat key there is 3 or 4 breaks if not just as good then better. If no parkinglot means you are not willing to search for something better, then you deserve nothing better than an overcrowded donkey filled wave.

Beach Streets
I love this spot personally. Even though i'm from st.pete I can still get whatevere waves I want because the locals aren't even that good. All of them talk like they can surf and even try to make threats but in reality us northies just plain surf better than them. It is really crowded but who cares its an open break with these locals who have their "underground" but they never do anything about it. Beach streets has no core local crowd, go there and get barrelled.

gulfster.com sucks!
Thanks for posting pictures of OUR home breaks you kooks. Gulfster.com is a band of kooks from St. Petersbug who drive 2 hours to crowd our lineups and try to make little videos and pictures of our spot. Why don't you keep your pictures to yourself and keep all you kooks back to your own spot. AMI locals are supreme and we know you east coast kooks and you st.pete kooks so stay the crap out of here and stop posting pictures of our beaches.

leave the nuts at the street
I ride anna maria. Every goon and his brother is at beach street . I have seen alot of surfers fighting for sloppy chop at b.s while the rest of the island is going off few miles away if that.I prefer to go down to Holmes beach peir, twin jettys, and the rocks.
I did see huge waves during katrina actually swells of 8-10feet cuase guys were standing up getting berraled 2-4 feet over head .But it was not every wave and very few guys where riding it most just watching it.Every now and then a huge freak swell came in but usually broke out 200-300 yard where no one was at and it appeared to be 15 ft you would have had to be boated or dropped to ride it .Cuase the current was so nasty. After katrina passed it Tampa north about 200 miles before land fall and just after the break held solid 5-6 ft surf for another 2 days .I missed Ivan but heard it produced similar swell.

Locals Only?
What, are you guys 12?! I just had a good laugh over all the postings with the "locals only" crap. There's alot of people in this world and only so many breaks. So, everyone needs to chill on the locals only talk. I guess the people that say this only surf in their town. They never travel and surf other States or Countries. Locals only!...ha. Tell you what, next time you are in California, make sure you don't use any of our sidewalks.... yeah, there for locals only!

Relax
