fun wave, when powerhouse is choppy, its pure glass here, the jetty blocks the wind.Sand Key puts out a decent right on a typical northwester, but this spot tends to be crowded. Sand Key has other good breaks to the south, out of the county park.

number of surfable days a month
I would like to know how many days a month would you say this spot is surfable. I don't mean big waves, but I mean a wave that you can actually ride. I want to teach my son to surf and we have the use of a beach house in the area for a couple months this fall. Thanks for your help.
