General
Best bet around when the winds are strong out of the east or southeast, but it can get super crowded when the winds are strong and no one has anywhere else to go.
Waves in Alabama
Never surfed there, but seen a few pictures over the years. I'm sure this place is flat almost year-round, but I don't doubt that it might fire a couple times a century. After all, every dog has his day...

Don't waste your time
This place used to be good in the 70's, had a wedging peak, many Fort Walton and Pensacola surfers drove over and surfed it before there was any Alabama surf locals. Hurricane Frederick in '79 destroyed it and has never broke the same. I worked many years at the Perdido resort from '89 to '03 and the place is junk. If you never surfed it in the 70's you just don't know how good it was.
