Jetties and piers are the best standouts although there are plenty of good sandbars as well. Conditions are usually onshore with good but short lived clean up sessions.

Chandeuler Islands?
Sounds good, but post some pics. How far is it off the coast (in miles).

Chandeuler Islands is the best spot in the N. Gulf to surf
getting to their on the other hand makes it the worst spot as its 30 min to 1 1/2 by boat to get to the breaks. Also beware of bull sharks as this is one of their primary nursing areas. One spot on the islands was secretly famous for its big break where waves (7 to 9 consistent in the winter) and 2 to 5 during the summer. This is one of the only places where the swells come straight from the deep gulf onto the shallow island chain.Remember however you can't camp out on the islands as it is a national wildlife refuge and you'll have birds going kamakazee on you if you invade their space. This is also a limitation unless you have a boat that you can sleep on for overnight stays. PS the fishing is awesome out there.
