Lots of waves up and down a long beach. Best near the rivermouth when the rains force the sand out into well shaped sandbars. Outstanding when all the elements come together and the wind blows offshore. Pollution is very bad. Cold winter days the break can be lonely and eerie. Blows out most afternoons.

Southern Ventura
Obviously Southern Ventura is Oxnard. And yeah the river mouth only gets good after it has rained for about 2 weeks straight. Yeah there is a bar there every year, but the bars in the shores or hueneme are usually better. All that sand is drifting south filling in Hollywood, and shores. So yeah, it's only epic every few years.

the sand bar is there every year, fall-winter. sure, its better some years than others, but that goes for every sandy-bottomed spot in the world. every year, rivermouth gets good.

hawaiians are fags anyway. they can surf pipe with 300+ people, im fine with getting shacked at epic santa clara with 10 people out.
