Needs size True, very few people out because its a private area and a long walk. Also, if there is a swell, you "can" use a short board too and have a blast. I did for my first 15 years surfing this spot.

It's 'Latigo' not 'Ladigo' .... and it's in LA county not Ventura County

Sharky Place rarely breaks overhead. Water is always churned and murky. Long paddle over deep water. This summer there was a partially eaten seal that had washed up on the beach with quite a few large bites taken out of it. In 89, there was a fatal white shark attack just off the point.

wax on wax off The karate kid film actually shows a better, if briefer, perspective of the wave on a crisper cleaner day.

Tow Away Latigo's is by Latigo Canyon just up the hill from Malibu in LA county however it is a private community with "Tow Away" signs everywhere ... not as good as Malibu but NOT as crowded. Have seen it overhead with only a handful of people in the water! How do you get in and where do you park?
