RE: Your Shark Sightings Ok all, yes....there are sharks in the ocean. BUT, keep in mind that Arnolds is what?...a few miles north of Pt. Mugu (AKA a seal breeding ground) with a North flowing current. So yeah a dead seal may wash up from time to time. Second, when was the last shark attack in Ventura Co.?? Last I heard was in 1998 on a Kayaker. My point is, don't worry about it..and hey if one does get you..at least you get the honor of sacraficing yourself to the most perfect hunter created by nature while doing something you love. But if you all do see one, go grab one of the thieves around the cars and toss them in the water.

Oh Shit!! 5/24/09 Went for a run from Point Hueneme Pier to the fence at Arnold this morning. There was a dead seal on the beach down by the power plant with a 12" diameter bite out of it! I believe in karma, so I'm NOT LYING! There are sharks out here!

CAUTION If its good you can see it from the south park lot of heuneme + it may be good by the peir but always better down at arnolds. Best to park there and walk the 2-3 miles down, I know a lot of fools who have gotten ripped off parking by the fence, unless you leave your 2 pit bulls in the car it's a good chance and even more if you have a fancy car.

RARE this spot is rarely good. Kinda of frustrating too because there is such a longggg walk to get to the beach that when you get to the part where you can actually see the surf, its either a) crappy and you wasted a good 10 minutes checking it, b) average and you have to walk all the way bacl to your car then all the way back out to the surf or in the rare case c) its fun and you run your little heart out to get your board to go for a surf. Not worth the check unless its HUGE everywhere.

good spot good little stretch of beach, a mission to get to but I have got fun waves there several times - sometimes the wind will be wrong for oxnard and you can head around to this place and it will be fun - always always always less crowded than silver strand or hollywood beach, but usually smaller. So when silver strand is maxing it is time to check arnolds

Saturday July 29th, Arnolds was going off. It looked like a sand bottom left point. Just reeling off of the fence, South lines.Nobodt around... perfect!

IT DOES SUCK Your car will get busted here. And not by loc surfers either. A bunch of Mexi's love to hang out here. The photo is not Arnold. I surfed it good once maybe twice in my whole life. Born and raised in the area. Pass it up unless you want your nice CD player to belong to a beaner.
