Drive past salmon creek about 2 miles. As highway 1 dips right down to the sand past portugese beach there is a unmarked beach with a creek mouth and a large rock in the line up.You cant miss the wave as there is a nice right hander breaking off and before the rock on larger swells.
Dropping tides can be better as it causes the wave to be ledgier..shorter boards are better as it is a good hotdog wave..treat the locals with respect and you will get waves

i wouldnt even consider calling this place a surf spot. what does it break once a year? if that.

Slowmar's is more like it. that's what we call it. Would love to surf it, but just always seem to just drive by. If it's good here, it's FIRING many other places. Great for Barneys! Good beach for kids.
