F@#k Man! I live and surf in Oregon and I'm sick of looking at other spots only find out some loser with a big effing mouth is talking about Seaside. Shut up! And ripping on Cali surfers? Dude our waves may be empty and good, but Cali has some ripping surfers and rad waves. Show some respect.

Steamer Lane...Mushy?
I was just there maybe a week ago and it was not mushy at all, but fairly hollow and lining up like you would expect that place too. Oregon is good too, but don't rip on Cali when it is really good but packed like a street corner at Home Depot! crowded, mushy waves.....decent on a large swell....but again, crowded. if you want real surf go to SEASIDE POINT IN SEASIDE, OREGON........CHECK IT OUT HERE (OREGON NORTH) and do not miss the video of the place going off during a 'small swell' later cali kooks.

Grew up surfing the lane, its killer watching kooks getting stuffed at the slot!Does anyone know if the mushroom tree is still in the field, we would take acid and stay up there all night then shred at first light!

Ocean Beach is heavier
Ocean Beach is a way bigger and heavier wave. If you are a steamer lane local and dont agree explain.

The Truth About Steamer Lame
Yes the waves are good here, unfortunately the guys who surf here are not. They will heckle, babble,and vibe, so very, very sad. I'm from So Cal, and we have way better surf, surfers, and warmer water/weather than Nor Cal ever will, and namely " Steamer Lame".

the debate.....
Gotta agree with the guy from Seaside, Oregon. Been up there to surf Seaside Point, and the place is EPIC! Locals up there aren't gonna roll out the red carpet for you, but they're not as bad as they're made out to be either. Go check the place out on your next surf trip.....it's definately worth it. SEASIDE POINT RULES!!!

this douche posting about seaside is on every major breaks comments, check out blacks beach which has at least 10 postings by the same guy saying the same thing...either hes got a vendetta against the locs or is crying his eyes out because his wave gets no notariety
