locals from seaside, or. Jail time BOYS! Your days of being tyrants is all but over! Enjoy the surf and stop acting like you own the place, because you don't.We all are here only for a short season and then it's lights out, then what will happen with your tyrannical selves? Opps!

probably my favorite spot in SC I love pleasure point, been coming here for 5+ years. I came to SC from socal (heh) so I don't have uber-local knowledge. I do know that Steamer Lane has a slightly higher quality wave (generally), but other than that Pleasure pt. is it in SC as far as I have seen. I've surfed it in overhead (and way overhead conditions) in several winters now, and the mushy stuff in the summers, glassy stuff in the mornings, theres always something breaking here if the buoys are reading 5+ Personally I like it better than steamer lane because steamer lane gets to be point-breakey and basically means theres a single point to take off on for the entire break, filled with 30 guys all piling on top of eachother getting awfully close to that rock in the lineup. When steamer lane goes overhead though, it changes quite a bit. Either way, I head to pleasure point first on a decent day. I will only consider steamer lane on a dawn session when I'm like one of the only people out. At pleasure point you can head to the right towards wind-n-sea or at a couple points in between, head down to sewers to the left, once-in-a-whiles, heck all the way down to 38th ave and 41st ave if you must. I like the vibe in the water, the waves, and I just catch way more waves @ pleasure pt than I do anywhere else in SC. Other notables are 4-mile and 3-mile in the area. Those are worth a look too.

that one tweaker anyone ever encountered that one dude i think his name is dan? usually seen lurking out between rockview and the stairs at sewer peak. i nominate him for the award of santa cruz's loudest, dirtiest, tweakiest, lurkiest, creepiest, guy who loves to yell "maggots!" hes got real dark crusty skin, sometimes wheres a hat. dark hair, meth eyes, looks like hes listened to one too many social d records. haha, yeah that guys a real character. another winner you bred there santa cruz, keep it up! and all you punk ass grom teenagers take a note from this guy. dont grow up to be like him although you probably won't have much of a choice.

38th ave... Couldn't find a 38th ave page on this site, but since its part of Pleasure Point I thought I would put my word in here... I am a local born and raised here in SC, mainly westside but live in Davenport right now. I didn't get into surfing until a year and a half ago just because I have never had the time. I devote 30 hours a week to ballet..(dont laught) Anyhoo, I was mainly a Cowell's boy. But Cowell's was just too ridiculous. INSANELY crowded, weak wave, and a lot of jerk dicks out there. Advanced and those people who cant surf at all. It was frustrating for someone who was serious, needed some good waves to really be challenged and to learn well on. So my friends Dad told me to go out to 38th where he surfs regularly. I love this place. A MUCH better wave than Cowell's. And the guys out there are so awesome and chill. Even if you drop in on someone on accident like I did, they understand, knew I wasn't looking where I should and I had a good chat with that guy. A lot of the guys really helped me out with some tips and said that they would look forward to seeing me out there more. Sure its a little more kelpy, and a little more dirtier than cowell's, but sitting out there, looking up at the point and chilling with awesome, chill serious guys made me feel more like I was actually surfing than fighting for waves at cowell's and being ripped off by the guys who are too good and should not be surfing at cowell's...

It was a PLEASURE!!! Was at Pleasure Point with my buddy Travis Saturday 3/1/08. The waves were soooo fun!! 4-5 ft, sunny, and glassy. We were so stoked on the vibe!! The guys out there were cool and were stoked to share their waves with us... We surfed ourselves silly, while everyone was hootin' each other when we got a good one. Thanks to everyone out that day!!! Props to Matt - local shaper for Pearson Arrow that rips and made us feel right at home!! Thanx!!! Craig and Travis

Seaside Ha, you are asking us to come to Seaside? Are you serious? Ha, can you bring some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too? With some hot chocolate? haha, wtf? Thats like Johnny Boy Gomes offering me the wave of the day at Pipe. "Ey bah, go for eet, juss gunnah seet here on da sholdah an enjoy da view!" You obviously dont live there. Not only is Seaside one of the best pointbreaks in North America, it is also home to some of the most aggro locals known to man. I think some guy got stabbed or shot there awhile back for being an outsider. . .talk about a redneck roadblock. Bring a concealed knife and mullet wig.
