on normal days it's mostly a mellow longboard spot. Excelent family area to learn and hang out in water. On a big NW or especially west swell the point becomes absolutely epic, a hollow, fast, and long right. But it needs to be a good enoough swell to get around the islands

cpl yeah right i've never seen any localism enforced here, the campus point locals crew is made up of a buncha 14 and 15 year olds with a couple guys slightly older who think they own the beach cuz their buddy made a little structure on the point that doesnt even count as a fort, all the kooks at ucsb could probly beat the shit out of those kids anyways if they ever tried to start anything

Jeez,another touchie Ozzie. No one said it WAS Kirra, and we who live here and have been there know that it can't touch Kirra, but on a good day, right tide, right swell, it's pretty damn good. And a good day here is way better than a bad day there. So remember, on any given day. Still, our best Campus Point would probably never be good enough for you, so why don't you stay home and drink piss till you fall down.
