Exit off 101 onto spyglass drive. Turn onto Shell Beach Road and turn left on Sunset Palisades Dr. Park in the Cliffs Resort on walk down the path from there.
Bodyboard it...
Been surfin' it since '83. I'm a 37 year old (and I do mean old) bodyboarder. The only good thing about Spyglass is that it has a portable toilet and coffee around the corner. The other main thing is that no matter how gnarly the swell is, closing out Morro Bay etc, Spyglass is managable. I think it is because the swell gets smashed on the jetty at Port San Luis and what ever freight trains its way over has lost a lot of its power. Not a really great wave but fun...

Go home geezers
This is a great bodyboarding spot for the beginner to the advanced bodyboarder. Lots of good inside barrels on high tides and lots of time and set up to do some major floaters or rolls on a medium tide. Just look out for the surfers who don't know shit and just sit there like bouys cause they don't know how to catch this wave. Actually, just fuckin run over them or do a roll on their domes, who cares.
