Drive along Highway 1 through a small beach town called Cayucos and you will see a sign with an arrow pointed toward your turn off. 24st. and Studios. Can't miss it!
It is a great spot to surf at and totally worth taking a day trip during a swell basically anytime during the winter. It is a great surf spot during the seasons of fall and winter. Not recommended to surf during spring and summer!!! You would be highly disappointed!

This is one of my favorite spots to surf as a local here in Cayucos. I totally recommend any surfers to take a trip up here during the winter time. You will be forever stoked to surf a popular local surf spot here in Cayucos. The great thing is this is not down south. All of the locals here are friendly and helpful. Just as long as you don't do any snaking!
General
If you are going to surf here in Cayucos during the winter I highly recommend that you wear nothing less than a 4X3mm or you will freeze your butt off! And during the summers nothing less than a 3X2mm.

Its your average central california beachbreak
Just like everywhere else in SLO county it all depends on the conditions. It can be a gorgeous, feathering barrel as perfect as they get but typically is just a hollow closeout beachbreak. I am your average Poly kook and surf here pretty frequently and haven't had any issues. Just be extremely respectful of the people who have surfed here their whole lives. This is their town.

STAY AWAY
Anybody who surfs studios will get snaked by the locals...dont hassle with it, go somewhere else.
