Hey... where is a good surf rental shop near by? I will be without a car, but desperately need to surf while I'm down there. Staying at the Hotel Del Coronado. Thanks for the help!

everyone thinks this spot is for these begginer kid surfers, heres a newsflash, coronado has paralyzed more people than any other spot in SD, people die here, a big south comes in and you'll see people walking up with spinal fluid coming out of there ear.
even if you rip and have confidence air dropping pulling into a neckbreaking barrel, you'll still get worked, it takes yrs to get this wave down, and if your here on a day where theres swell, respect!!!!
this wave can kill you or snap your neck. SURFING IS not a joke. heavy rip currents and fat closeouts can make it hard for you or your board to leave in 1 piecr.
and if you snake someone......GOD help you, and I hope you have good medical insurance, this wave regulates itself, but Ive seen heavy beatdowns here. do not showup and drop in and backpaddle.
