I have my own secret for parking and I think spaces are so few you should find your own. You undoubtedly drive by this wave if you drive PCH between Corona Del Mar and Laguna. Once you park, you can just walk onto the beach.
It is a rarity to catch this place, especially because the lineup is so tight. The easiest takeoff zone is by lining up directly off of the cliff. Everyone does this in order to get into the wave really early before it explodes into a sweet tube. It is really crowded these days and that is why I finally posted this.
Overview
Atmosphere
I have surfed here for over ten years and now I can't even get a wave here. It used to be a big secret because it rarely gets good and the access is kind of tricky. Now there are always is a crowd out when it is good.
General
There is a really good poster of this place for sale in surf shops. The poster is titled "Laguna Beach" and it is a side shot of a huge green/slate grey left barrel against a dark cliff backround. That's it. Periodically people will talk about this "semi-secret" surf spot, but there really is no secret except for parking.

i have lived in laguna my whole life and it only breaks once in a blue moon. if your not from laguna and u happen to get it good you r one lucky man. i have only surfed it good myself once and i have checked it 100's of times and i know the conditions that make it good. In addition to the fact that its super rare the locals out there wont let you have a wave. the take off spot is a few yards wide and when its on its crowded and everyone knows each other. they will rarely ever say anything if your not from there, but dont expect to go out and get the set waves good luck lol
No longer...
I starting charging this place in the mid 90's and it was empty and good. Now its crowded and shitty.
Have fun with whats left...

Elevator cove lefts die every winter...
Wintertime swell activity out of the NW or W always 'sweeps' the sand southbound that had accumulated over the summer months, SW & Southerly swells build-up the sand bars from May thru Sept. every year like clockwork, usually El Morrow gets better as the season goes along. There are Kelp cutters outside sometimes; yet there's never any need to 'dredge' sand from the lineup, where it usually gets rideable in the fall season rob929...
