Park on side streets and walk down the hill. Or if your lazy pay 5 dollars and park right on the beach. Theres 2 snack bars if your hungry. On a good day you will see long hollow rights peeling off the jetty while the rest of the shoreline closes out. However if you come to the spot a few times you will notice that when you ride a wave off the jetty and your done you will be at a little submerged rock taht sticks out of the water. This rock can give you a really fun hollow left also. If any kooks get in your way let them know who's boss.
Atmosphere
There are 3 main peaks. Foamers, Inside foamers, and the jetty. The jetty breaks on SW and South swells and produce a long hollow right. Foamers breaks on monster south swells at least 10 feet at other spots. The other part of foamers breaks on Big northwest swells, The inside finger jetty makes a fun left with a steep drop and room for alot of turns then mushes out. The rest of the shoreline closes out but is pretty hollow and can be epic for people who like huge deep barrels.
General
This spot is one of my favorite spots. When the harbor is breaking its world class. You will love this wave and come back to it every year. It gets really crowded on small days with kooks. But on bigger days only the expiranced surfers will be out.

FUNNY. - to be completely honest.. when CDM gets crackin it is worth the money to surf the uncrowded waves that come pouring in... and honestly if you need to spare the money before you go down the steep road to the parking lot... use your brain... look down there... is there waves? if not then go down to the river jettis (NE)... and only go and look if its a big S, SE... and if you are really feeling brave... go to wedge... if you arent really good dont go there save all the locals the time of having to pull you out of the water.

Rarity - I live in front of this break and it rarely is worth surfing. One giant south swell a year maybe, unless you bodysurf. Its a great barreling wall for bodysurfing. When its good here, everywhere else near by is probably pumping too. Its not worth the crowd, honestly.
