Just One More about Photographers
I've been shooting various spots along the coast. I do post shots on the internet and sell a few to those depicted in the shots.While I do identify spots like Steamer Lane or Pleasure Point, at the more remote spots that are "local sensitive" I do not post any identifiable landmarks. Please do not assume that every photographer is out to exploit your spot. I have surfed Moss Landing since 1980 myself.I'm not hiding under any rock.If I'm shooting in the water and swimming with great whites give me a little respect.They are the only real locals and if they don't like me there,then there is a good chance I'll be eaten.My name is Charlie Witmer. took a typing class and am more enlightened, thanks rey area. stoped drinking old engish and am enjoying fine wines and 18 holes of bliss. you can say i am more refined now, good looking out.

moss landing is no good
moss landing is the worst surf spot, it always closes out and the sharks are everywhere. It is way over rated. I'm going to santa cruz!!

Cameras or not, the locs still get the waves. You poachers and lurkers come and go, sit, paddle, and watch. Sure, Jetty is blown up, crowded and overexposed (its not even that good)but like I stated above, its still the boys getting the waves. You think you have prioity? Doubt it! We don't even see you!

cameras are ok now
everytime i show up at moss now theres some old fart with a tripod and slr taking pictures of that wayne dude and his entourage. but it doesnt surprise me that no one does anything but bitch on this site about it. the dude taking pictures is old, crusty, large, bigger than most surfers. i doubt any moss rats have the balls to say anything to his face. wayne too is a big guy, no ones gonna fuck with him. so everyone just get over it, your jetty is getting blown up and theres nothing anyone can do about it. cameras are ok at moss now, fullers will be next

Moss is a sick spot. Born and raised in the rey- and will do anything to protect this wave. But sometimes I feel like I’m facing an uphill battle. So reading this blog I see that there is a guy taking pics—that sucks forsure but what hurts even more is the guy that posted the angry comment who drives a white ford. I see the white ford often- and pretty sure you can surf decent- from what I remember. But how stupid are you? Again, Moss is a sick wave and needs protecting- but you in the white ford is bringing down our average IQ. I think we should ban you- not because you don’t surf well- but because you make us look so fucking dumb. I love the rey- and think that on average we are much smarter then the santa cruz bums—but Mr. White Ford- you need to go back to school or get a job that requires you to think. Also they have typing classes if you’re a little slow with technology. Please become more educated and stop making us look so dumb.
