There's no waves - I' m from Myrtle Beach SC and I was there last July for two days. I can tell you from experience that there are no waves in this area. The biggest wave I saw was barely three feet and didn't look anything like the pictures. It was prime season and nothing. Also odd was that the guy in the first picture actually hit on my friend Ron in an area pizza/bar joint. At least it was a guy with the same name who kept talking about how much he "ripped" and "shredded." That's in an interseting place you all have over there but there absoulutely no surf in that area.

Who's that ripper? - Is that Wayne Kelly in the picture of Marina? Wow- shacked!

to much wind - This beach is known for the hang gliders because most of the time it's blown out. When it's good it's the best.

Marina - U know whats real funny is that no1 surfs it that big like what the pics show. Everyone is too pussy. I have been surfing in the bay for over 10 years now and i dont think anyone has ever attmepted marina at any size over 10, even if it is breaking perfect and looking like pipeline, because it will close out an about 1 hour and u will have a nice time drowning at close outs that big or bigger.
By Marina Local , 23-11-2002
Marina is gnarly - Yes, marina will school you over and over....cuz the school is right down the street. When will soemone blow up that pathetic excuse of a school and the barneys that attend it. The waves are insane...so insane.....quit your job, move to Marina, and rip.....dont forget to buy a surf casting real and waiters because that the real sport at Marina.
By don't come to Monterey , 18-09-2002
