stay away
.Not a good idea to surf this place if your not from the area. Locals can have extreme tempers and behavior. If the temptation is still to great don't go down the trail with more than two people, you will never make it to the beach.

Nature at it's best
Have been riding Fuller's a few times for 30 years. First, it's a long drive, second, a long, about 30 min., walk to the beach down a dirt path on a very steep cliff. Waves are extremely powerful & don't always come in at the same spot. Rocks are everywhere. Used to be a big wood deck there; but it got washed out. You park at a dirt turnout & phone signals are pretty slim in that area.
Best at high tide cause of the rocks but okay at low tide too.

nothing is free
it must be noted that some surfers have put their time into big sur. Those that have spent countless hours and years getting well beyond acquainted with fullers and the rest of rugged big sur, be it diving, hiking, or surfing, hold a deserving place. They have a blood and sweat relationship with the place that is respectable. They are friendly, just more so to their actual friends. they are protective of a place they call home. fear and tough love works. i have only live in the area for 6 years and had to learn quickly. of course i knew about fullers. i waited until someone more fitting brought me. does one just walk into the most elite party in town univited? i personally think the locals in this area are clever to stay living here. it is a beautiful, peaceful place. But it is a tough place. i hope it stays this way. thank you guys for waves n lessons
