Get on PCH, North or South, which ever way your coming from. You'll hit Topanga Canyon Road, then you'll see a parking lot near the beach. Park there. Then a short walk to the point.
Park your car on PCH. You have to pay to park in the parking lot.

This spot is great for all levels of surfers. The wave is great. You can longboard, shortboard, and basically do anything with the word "board" at this beach.
Hotdogs?
Hotdog? Who are you gidget, Frankie Avalon? Always knee high? Learned from Hollywood? You sound like a transplant fool who couldn't get waves there. You know nothing about the history of this place. Everyone talks crap about Topanga yet are all there when it's good and the beaches are walled.

longboarders ??
why all the longboarders at topanga lately?? is surfrider closed? went out this AM and it was disgustingly packed with longboarders. waves were definitely ridable on a shortboard. topanga just can't support an ecosystem of longboarders. teeny takeoff point & when waves get any better, most of these clowns can't make the drop. argggghhhhh...frustration. please go to the outside or up to malibu. OR, shocking advice, share waves, don't f-ing burn shortboarders (surprise, we can catch waves too) & don't ride a longboard there if you can't surf anything smaller.

beginner/intermediate spot. dumb showboat-y "locals". (the only real locals live in vans on the pch!) lots of "locals" are sub-par surfers on sub par waves and aggressive cos they think they have to be or are just actually completely ignorant. typical-learned-it-from-hollywood stupid surfers. (funny they dont get that their behavior is actually a diss.) BUT, there are awesome just-to-be-in the-water soulful locals who share waves or a converstion between the long long long long time between the small sets here. of course there are a few real hotdogs. this is LA. dont mind, or be frustrated by them though. dont mind then dropping in on you and their exaggerated "launches" off the piddly end of a knee high wave. for new comers daunted by this behavior...know that every wave they catch and snake from you they go head first into fecal matter,
E.coli, and possible bactieral infection! polluted water + asshole surfers = get a longboard! let them swallow it!....hotdogs....
