nice - looks like fun, nice beach.
Re: Chesterman Beach? - Just to avoid confusion, the comment I submitted below was in response to the beach labeling I found on Google Earth. My apologies for not being clear in the original post.
Chesterman Beach? - Actually, Chesterman Beach is about 8.5k (5.25 miles) north of this area. I believe this beach is called Schooner. Chesterman is the next beach north of Cox Bay. You will see the sand spit there that separates north and south Chesterman. The best waves will be had at south Chesterman.
- the sand bar sucks dont go here

Good times!!! - Great beach for all types... especially long boarders... tones of fun waves to be had here. Lots of people on the weekends but you can usually avoid the novices and still have a great time. Parking lot is full in afternoons so get in early... big plus... you don't have to pay to park unlike the provincial park. $7 per person in your vehicle or just buy a family pass for $17.

right on jennysurfs - It's a great feeling to catch your first wave, isn't it! Congrats on melding with another part of the earth. Ignore all the anon BS out there. Most of the big boys out there yap loudly, just like little, spoiled dogs. The reason why there are far fewer happy comments is bc all the happy kids are smiling too big to see the keyboard...whilst all the miserable anons aren't happy with their lives, so they blame all their personal failures on everything around them-even the surf! Ha can you believe that! Blame it on nature!!! Ejnoy the rest of your new life on the water!
Good Times - I tried surfing for the first time this summer (thanks to Jenny and Lily at Surf Sister!!) - unbelievable feeling.....surf stoke fersure. It's a beautiful beach for beginners from what I could see. Nice little white water waves to learn on (this was August - not sure about rest of the year!). Anyways, I can't wait to try again, have dreamt about surfing almost everynight and I can't believe I haven't done this sooner!! Cheers
- This is a great place for when everything else is too big. I've only had a few good days here where its been 6-9 ft, usually its around 1-5 ft which is prime for learning on.
no title - its a sand bar you kook
no title - This beach needs a big big swell to get good. Watch the swell forcast in the winter and then come and check it out. You'll be glad you did.
