Ahh...where?
I drove all around this place and could only find fish plants at each corner of this supposed break (pumping fish waste into the water...).

From what I can gather you have to walk for 20-30 minutes from either road to get to the break indicated on the map.

I didn't feel up for a hike with no guarantee that there was a break on the other end so I took off down the road to another break.

If anyone has found the break let me know.

There is no break
This break doesn't exist. I tried looking for it a few times when there was a good swell, but there's just nothing around there.

fully agree man. i was just referring to the site in general. and yeah, there are heaps of other factors. it's just when you start seeing infinitely detailed directions and maps pointing to spots that everyone else has had to go and search out, it can become a bit frustrating. that being said, i'm in australia now, and anyone who has been here would probably agree... the average nova scotian doesn't even know what a "crowd" looks like. we still have it very good at home, despite the cold.

Very true, but I don't think it's all about this site.
Even in new england, when fall comes theres people you've
never seen before,and usaly wont see them again. But to
say sites like this or any of the tons of other sites are the issue,it's way more than that! NS lately in the last 3-4 years has got way to much press/like SURFER MAG/ SURGING/ RED BULL, But still you guys are locals and know all the "secret spots"so when it's on you know ware togo
just like any local you know the right spot at the right time, and always get it good. So at this time, it seems
like its crowded, But those few real surfers know even
on a packed southeast swell, at your fav. spot you'll
get all the good waves, and go home happy.

i agree with you on almost all counts. i disagree, however, with your perception of the reason why nova scotians are concerned. we arent't all idiots. we know the winter months will never be crowded to the extent that lowers will be on even the crappiest of days. hell, i try to escape the cold as much as i can. the concern is for the fall. it's the one time of year that it's actually good to be a surfer in NS. people do come here then, including plenty of Jersey guys, who for the most part are all pretty respectful. it does get crowded though, and sites like this contibute to that. that's why people are concerned. thanks.

Though, I just left a rather lengthy message at Ltown, I'll say it again, crowds will never be an issue in Nova Scotia. It's location and climate will see to that. Surfing's as popular as ever in New Jersey. We got almost ten dudes being paid to surf. Towns like Ocean City that rival Southern California and Florida for talent and competitiveness. We lost a generation of groms to the rap/gangsta shit that popped up in the early to mid nineties. Kids were more interested hanging on the streets in the Raiders starter jackets than they were into surfing. But since that surfing's popularity has been waxing. Anyways, from mid October-May only name spots like Manasquan Inlet will get crowded and that's only on weekends. And that's crowded Jersey style not Lowers in summer style. No one except weirdos like me from the NE of the U.S. would ever plan a surf trip to Nova Scotia. Do you really think that some hot shit from San Clemente dreams of surfing Fish Shacks? Do you think, that right now, people are sitting on the beach at Pipeline saying that they wish they were in Nova Scotia? Come on most people don't like colder climates(idiots!) so they're not coming to N.S.
