Drive to Guysborough, approximately 2 1/2 hrsfrom Halifax. From Guysborough go to the small viallage of Larry's River. Follow the signs for Torbay Provincial Park. After passing through Larry's River you will come to a stop sign. The sign for Torbay beach park points left, go right. Drive for approximately ten kilometers. As you are descending a long hill there is a small bridge crossing Eastern Brook. Just after the bridge there is a gated path that will fit a car on the left. Park there and walk down to the beach. Go to where the brook runs into the ocean and paddle straight out.
The gate is always open but on the off chance it is closed there is a spot on the other side of the road for parking. The locals in the area will look at you like you have three heads but they are really friendly and curious. There is a great place to camp a few miles down the road at Salsman Provincial Park.

So far I think I am the only guy to have ever surfed this spot. It can be a real gem. You can spend hours there and never see a soul. This wave is perfect for longboard cruising.
