Good surf - When it's working it's amazing surf, gets blown out quite a lot being in wales and all. Don't go on about kayakers getin in the way from my experience it's the surfers that push in and don't let the kayakers have a turn, it's all a bit of fun, don't let a petty rivalry ruin the fun for all, there is enough waves for us surfers to let em have there fun as well. Any way, good surf give it a go..... see u all there, i'm there prob 3-4 days a week at least, i'm a student at the uni there.

Ruined by crowds unfortunately - Be prepared for crowds, sewage, diesel from boats, bodyboarders who lurvvve to drop in and whoop when they've caught a 2ft wave , waveskiers and canoeists who like to test the strength of their craft on your head and endless paddling against a strong current from the river. Other than that its a fantastic wave but you'd probably have a better time in Pembrokeshire - I've heard Newgale and Freshwater West have good waves with plenty of room for everybody, why not try there?
