Long sandy beach with a large pebble breakwater which on high tide produces a fun backbounce. Facilities on the beach include camping and parking, garage , surf shop, bar and cafe. Can be quite crowded in the summer. A very safe beach and ideal for beginners.

Gnarly waves breed gnarly surfers; so when you're paddling out at Newgale watch out for Lynch, Newgale's Hellman. If it's below 3 foot he'll be squat down, arms out charging in a straight line in the white water like a white stallion with a full ball bag. Respect him.
World Class waves as well, the left off ricket's head breaks all the way to the brother's grimm petrol station on it's day. Top 30.

Yeah...
It picks up most swells going and its always bigger and less crowded than whitesands. The paddle outs arn't that bad! I've never had a real problem with them, if it goes above 6 foot then it can give you a working though. Newgale is one average wave in st Brides bay. There are much better waves nearby, which don't close out as much!Anna x sounds interesting, think i've seen her around before too.
