This beach is at the very end of Rest Bay (just walk across the beach), it is about one mile away from the lifeguard station. At high tide the place is closed off and is difficult to get back.(unless you enjoy walking over a load of sharp rocks
Start walking there at low tide. when you get there the waves should be aproaching their best. Dont leave it to late to leave or you will have to padle for about 30 meters to get past the rocks or you will have to walk across the sharp rocks for 1 mile!
Overview
Atmosphere
Last October Rest Bay was packed. Me and my mates walked over to scee and it was empty (as always.) we were amazed cos the waves were better. There are no locals!!
General
This spot works very rarely. the sea needs to be clean and 1-3 foot if so it is definatly worth the trip. i have never seen anyone else there. and the waves will be better than rest bay
car thieves, rips and gay doggers
nice spot when it's on but there have been alot of break ins over the past few yrs esp in summer - ask the police if you think this is a wind up.
Plenty of cars stolen too - check margam if your cars been taken as this is where most end up.
Golf course rights at rest bay are alot better imo and more consistent. You can face a long walk to find poor banks at sker.
Watch out for gay doggers in the carpark in the evenings - no this is not a wind up either!
if the wave is on, it's not for beginners so don't rock up in a group with mals. You'll end up getting into trouble and the rip can be strong here.
If you score on a good day, enjoy!
