Additional Surfing Infos
Not very hollow. Middle reef, shit pipe and the point best suited to longboarders. Langland dose not work at high tide it just dumps unless there is a big swell. High tide works better when there is a strong on shore wind because it dose not dump as much.

Beginners should stick to the middle of the bay (beach break). Best suited to longboarders.
.
More experienced can try right hand point (west end)
East end also has reef break (experience needed): this is Crab Island and works only at low tide. It's quite shallow and sucky.
 Overview
Atmosphere Old and young come here. Good atmosphere but respect needs to be shown to gower crew.
General Great spot to surf with plenty of variety to choose from.
Needs decent swell to get working though. ie. llangennith needs to be 5foot+

Board snaper!
Tuff Lite Board ripped from my hands as I rolled through a wave on thepaddle out. Unpredictible heavy storm surf. Up I came with board snapped in half. Hapened near the sand bank at low tide. a long swim back in.

Serves you right
Secret Spots .......it's all right for a bunch of poms to turn up around the world and have the locals put up with your shit surfing skills ....but if you pull into one of the breaks the booze fuelled meatheads want to fight .Stay in the pub mate

Students
I am a student myself in Swans Uni, however ive lived and surfed here all my life. I dont mind the majority of student surfers, they're not too bad either. There are a few tho that give us bad names! For instance it doesnt help turning up to secret spots on gower in a bloody convoy!! If your surfin those kind of spots keep it to a max of three!! Also if your inexperienced (ie a Kook!) dont surf the secret spots!! If we stick by these rules, maybe the locals wont hate your guts as much!? You guys are starting to **** me off too!!
