From Brighton follow signs for Brighton Marina, once on the cliff top don't turn right as signposted, keep going until the roundabout and do a u-turn, come back up the hill and pull in at the bus stop, you will then see the entrance to the steep cliff road, park at the bottom right next to the waves!
You'll find good waves here at mid tide only when there is strong to gale force SW or W wind. The marina wall provides complete protection from the wind giving reasonable lines of surf, but won't work in groundswells.
Overview
Atmosphere
It's interesting as howling winds don't suit most places, this spot loves them! It's the only place in the south east with enough power to warrent a shortboard. A few locals rip and spectators line the marina wall.

Best place to Learn to surf in Brighton
This is by far the best place for beginners to surf in Brighton. The paddle out next to the wall is easy and the waves break slowly and hardly ever barrel. It's an easy place to get up and learn to trim down the line.
