Frozen Balls
Howzit going all you Scottish surfers. Sounds like you guys are on a good thing up there. I reckon i'd be trying to keep it low key too although i'm sure the arctic weather does that for you. I reckon you guys will discover crowds (and the associated shit they bring) when Rip Curl or Quicky invent a thin wetsuit that easily copes with 7 degree water. Until then, enjoy your waves in the knowledge that your average Euro surfing poser isn't hard core enough to pack out your breaks.

Localism
well, I posted my spot here for some time now (Póvoa de Varzim in Portugal)and in other sites as well, and itīs not for that reason that I have more crowd in my spot, I like so see the other surfers spots in the internet becouse probably I will never go to the spots I saw (most of them at least) becouse they are very far away from Portugal, specialy Scotland.
And if other surfers come to my spot, thatīs ok, I like to speak with them and hear what they have to say about their trips.....
So publish your spot, most certanly the crowd will be the same.

I don't live in Scotland (anymore,) and I travel a lot. I'm not even Scottish. I am not advocating localism. All I am saying is if you have a great spot on your doorstep (or even somewhere in a foreign land you discovered by getting off your ass, buying a map and leaving the crowd behind) that few people know about, better to keep it that way. Travel a bit more, my friend and you will find a lot more welcome from local surfers around the world when you visit their break as one of the few. They may even show you their secret spots, as long as you promise not to post them on the internet.

kill your ego
Thanks to those who are not that selfish as you are I had a great surf trip to Morocco this spring. In case you want to stay in Scottland for the rest of your days I can in a way understand you...er...no I canīt. People like you should shut up. If you are on a trip you donīt want to spend half of it just to look for surfable spots (perhaps its too hard for you to understand?).

A big thank you to everyone whoīs willing to share their waves with surfers all around the world!!!

Lonely surfers!
Resist the urge to show the world what fine waves you have, they may be empty now but one day they won't be. In a nation of over 60 million all living within a days drive of your local break.....it won't be long before you wish you never told anyone. Keep quiet, and enjoy sharing waves with those with the initiative to find them by themselves. I think sites like this should only publish info on places with serious political instability and natural hazards like tropical diseases and volcanic eruptions.
