(with difficulty) go to whitby and follow the signs to teeside and you cant miss it it will be sign posted on the way you enter down a steep hill...good luck
Its an open area all areas are good but if you enter the water directly in front of the car park there are some monster waves with good barrels its got a nasty current that pulls you out pretty fast if your young or inexperienced but experienced surfers should have a good solid surf inexperienced surfers should stick close to the shore.
Locals are cool make an effort they will make one back.
Good surf shop in whitby (Zero Gravity).
Overview
Atmosphere
this is one quality surf spot with very few people its a nice quiet town with some nice pubs and resterants the swell is massive at times with some amazing barrels i strongly recommend coming here for a day out. have fun. Come for a weekend camp or b&b surf the weekend and hit pubs in whitby on saturday night.
General
Best beach in the area. Starts a 1-2ft and hold 6ft or bigger if you can handel long paddles.
Banks can be good at the moment they are not very good. but this may change
weak left under cliffs usually full of groms and longboards - 2 hours after low for 2 hours , then get out or face getting smashed in to the rock caves by the swell.
So Much for Respect
LOCALS: Your all sad pathetic inbred idiots. I heard this spot had a reputation but WOW. That's all i will say.

Flat
Its been flat (not above 2ft) for past 8 weeks. But I hear there is swell due the weekend. One of those swells that doesn't show on the chart, the locals know what type of swell I mean.
