This is not a secret spot. You will probably fuck your car up taking the track here from milford. The bottom is banded sandstone with the strata side on, It will hurt if you hit it hard. The wave throws the odd barrel and is a left at low water but peaks both ways at high tide. This will not live up to the hype, The scenery is spectacular but the crowds are not, Since stormrider published the info it has become crowded and the locals angry.

This place is awesome uncrowded aswell, now that new bridge cuts out barnstaple traffic i'll be surfing here way more than woolacombe

surfin speeks wiked. i live neer an surf all round the north cornwall an devon cost. The wave has a good peel an is powerfull. wudn't recomend it to beginners cos o the reefs but intermidiate/experienced it wiked, if surf is good tho gets crowded. but othawise mental.

CUMMING BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN
Spekes has to be the most fun place to surf. Normally i go down when it looks like there may be a wave, but i've started going down even when its flat now. I've never surfed at a place where the local crew help you in and out of your wetsuit in the toilets and don't charge. They even don't mind putting a bit of vasaline on if you find it chaffes.I would recommend surfing here at any time, but the locals tend to get friendlier towards night time.
