this place is underated
tolcarne produces a sick wave in a sheltered spot. ive always had a clean wave down here on my travels and am always impressed by the standard of the spongers. some good longboard riding by the blow-ins on this wedgy wave put the shortboard riders to shame!

i regularly surf tolcarne when im down newquay end of the country, its more sheltered than fistral, definately worth checking if fistral is a no no. as for the locals, theyre friendly and are very good. check it out if youre in the area. the steps are a nightmare after a long session on tired legs!

I'd just like to say that all of the comments concerning the local spongers at the wedge being tossers etc is a pile of wank. They're all a class bunch of guys. Ive just started sponging there as much as i can and theyve just made the wave a whole lot better. The standard of their riding is something to look up to, not to queirie. They rip...simple as that.
As for the wave, well...its sick. Any wave where u can launch my 6ft 6' frame must be worthy wanking over.
