zorbas - zorbas only breaks when the cribber would be gettin close to 20ft. unless you got a boat you wont get there as its 2 miles out from fistral. ask some local fishermen for the location they'll probably know roughly where it is

zorbas reef? - Does anyone actually know anything about zorbs? How often does it break, how big?

the Cribber - 07/11/03 pic demonstrates to all you 'colonials' (including the Hawaiin Islands surfers, who were discovered by the GREATEST explorer the planet ever produced - Captain Cook!)that, little ol muvver England has the big stuff too & the guys with the BIG balls to ride em!!
The Cribber is a truly epic wave, from Cornwall an epic part of the British Isles!

Zorbas Reef! - You are all forgetting that the bombie called zorbas reef can hold any swell, and I mean any swell, it only starts working at 25ft plus, but any bigger than 40ft its time to run for the hills!

slop! - oyster falls is yet another peak in the uk which does hold virtually unlimited size, but doesn't really produce anything worth bothering with. maybe if it got hit by 25+ft but that will never happen. i suspect you've never been out there. i have - there are four rips to cross on the way out, and when you finally get there the waves fail to pull up to such an extent that it's almost impossible to drop against a 10mph breeze. bouncy crappy slop. i'm quite underwhelmed with the cribbar, but its a shiload better than oysters. neither of them are big wave spots though. on a british scale maybe (there are better ones), but thats about as meaningful as being the best vegetarian dish at mcdonalds.

Cribbar - This spot is nothing compared to oyster falls in North Devon. It breaks half a mile out from Croyde and can hold any amount swell. Its a proper world class slab unlike a little reef off a headland. Its just been put on here but there is no picture apart from one in the croyde section labled huge croyde, go have a look thats a proper outer reef!

An Grybar - Just on a non-surfing note, the etymology of the cribbar is interesting! In Cornish, Kryb is a crest, you can see the same word in the Gribbin in St.Austell bay(literally 'litle crest'), so it's well-named! I wonder if our ancestors dreamt that it would ever be surfed?

Southern kook wannabes - In the cribber photos there is a guy "riding" the cribber saying southeast boys rip-looks to me like he is about to pearl big style.
Stick to your little piss poor waves.
