So far on this site ive read LOADS of comments on loads of different beaches, and you know what..it seems that all surfers are chavs, they are all AMAZING surfers, and waves in UK are THE WORST, and if you try to surf any of the waves or just turn up to a beach then local surfers are gonna SMASH YER VAN UP AND BEAT YOU UP!!!
Its not just MEDIA giving surfers a bad name, its more the surfers (read some more comments on various places and see what i mean).
A ride-able wave is good, surfing is FUN, and this beach offers good waves at times with a good family vibe.
PLEASE lets stop this Dogtown/beat up non-locals attitude and all waves suck attitude....

why the hell is every one trashing wave spots. u can just say "i went their and it wasnt that good" u dont have to come out with comments trashing locals. most people with such strong opinions have been surfing their once and its been a bad day so they think they can make an expert opinion about the wave. iv been here and its been so awful its not eaven worth getting wet, but again iv been here when some majour storm swell came in and it turns meaty and fat, not much shape but still nice to surf. plus the location and beach is very very nice i think.

hahahahaha!!
i have a real hard time picturing a bunch of pooeys (polzeath locals) travelling around the world together and intimidating people. from what i've seen of the locals there they be as much of a joke as their wave.

Who are the ESP
I surf at Polzie all the time but have got non stop crap of the so called ESP, "East side polzeath" I feel like they dominate the water and drop in on you given any chance. Appparently they tour together around the world.... Here is some advice... don't get in their way, whatever country you are in!

bloody wanna be's
average cornish beach break. Lived here in polzie since i was 3, surf here evryday. But if coming, dont come here, it sicks, go porthleven or croyde or sumwer decent (aaaaa, the wonders of weekend surf trips). The main problem with this place is that in the school hols the whole place jus gets full of fucking dropping in wanna be's. So if you are one, learn etiqutes of surfing before you enter water, and when they do drop in u see them just bail 2m into their ride. Can be fun in summer at small sweels at low tide with mini-mal/longboard if not up for an epic ride. If you want epic day, piss off from polzeath and come back when it is actulay ripping (when the wanna be's are sittin on the beach wetting themselves.

Only ever bother with the place in Oct/Nov. In the summer full of tossers but then it always has been. Place went downhill when Anns surf shack lost its wooden floor. Anyone know what happened to the old hippy guy who owned the Surfside shop on the beach?
