i wouldn't advice learning to longboard here ( a short board would be a better idea)
forms a nice ridable wave then dumps you onto the sand, really short fast steep ride, probably not you best beginner longboarder wave (try a short board). the only reason you would learn or just surf here is its a very short paddle.

dick draggers
calling all longboarders, this is a great spot....especially if you're learning! Friendly lidders. Take care of your fins though as (contrary to rumours) some sack sliders have got spines...

nasty droppings
Less of the dropping in and snaking, things are a changing for sure with the type of people who come and surf this spot.

I don't know...
... who Janimal is. Who is he? Anyway, Ivey's does rule and I've surfed elsewhere.

Can't dig this crap about how you ride a wave. Stand, sit, lie, kneel, who cares? Just do it right innit!

Oh by the way, I used to be a local but am now a Plymouth boy... What do I do? Where do I fit in? Oh yeah I forgot, I just surf so who fucking cares! Honestly, this sport needs a kick up the arse cause if your hobby makes you so stressed, something's really wrong!

hahahaha agen!
yes janimal, we all believe you. im sure you have done all of that. let us bow down to you. just coz no-one likes you dont assume they're a sponger. you are the biggest joke i and everyone has ever heard. we all know who you are, and how pathetic u r.

bah?
and since when does going surfing get you into the spotlight? hell - all the weekenders who come down in the summer must be famous as fuck... you know, going out at doom bar, cribbar, etc really isn't much more of a boast than saying you've done 72 on a motorway. it won't get you on the telly like getting mawled at g-land did me. its all british slop at the end of the day. unfortunately a lot of people are under the impression that its hardcore big british surf, which it isn't, but at least it explains the misunderstanding. you see, not everything over a 4 foot beachy is hardcore. i've had some great biggish surf in cornwall, but not where everybody seems to think its to be had, but on the whole i'm far more chuffed with the splashing about i've done abroad. just remember that its not a spectator sport and not everybody who says they've done things you never will is lying. happy sponging.
