hey nick you seem to have it all sussed except barras never breaks because its not a wave, its a cliff, marsland right goes off, you just aint seen it happen. ruseys is neither super dangerous nor unridable, just fickle (if you can surf). the box gets surfed and sponged heaps, and tremoutha gets surfed when it breaks, which is rarely. you won't see anyone in the water at milook when it is breakin coz look has to show well over 12 feet of swell - more like 15 for tremoutha to feel it. and the big left is tremoutha. it just looks like its in crackie coz its fuckin huge. i know, i was out. i hope your mate dan has more of a clue than you so that his wonderful book can fuck up the local surf scene even more. oh yeah - and shut up mate

ERROR Crosstown is by Morwenstowe and not Sandymouth. Same score, low tide beachie or high tide cliff death. No reef rides here.

Local Knowledge. "WEBMASTER READ THIS" Someone has been filling this site up with poo. Barras nose hardly ever breaks and when it does its fuckin dangerous. "Bitches" and "Devils Palace" are the same place, about 1/4 mile up the coast and around the corner from bossiney, it is deep water and never breaks. Crosstown is a part of sandymouth, Dunsmouth "rivermouth" is fuckin weeny and doesn't effect the surf, it is also a part of sandymouth beach, Gullies "gullastem" is fuckin rocky and almost impossible access. Hippa rock is always stuck out of the water. Granted, a wave breaks onto it, or surges onto it but it aint ridable. Marsland right is deep water and doesn't break. Allthough you might get a shitty beachbreak at spring low tide. How you get down there is anyones guess. Pengold is the same place as Rusey beach and has dodgy access, a reef which is superdangerous and unridable. Doesn't really qualify as a break. the beach never gets anything because it is either a cliff/shore dump or the reef is breaking which you can't surf. Stanbury is a fat beachbreak and the righthander is only short because the first section closes out and the main section also usually shuts down as the swell is Never in the right direction for it to break well. Also the access is so dodgy at high tide when it is likely to break, you need a death wish to surf it. The box is a legend and allthough real, noone ever surfs it because it is just a scary tube with a fat shoulder. Hardly anyone has the balls. Tremoutha Haven never gets ridden. The big left is at crackington. The left at tremoutha (inner cam point) hardly ever breaks and when it does, everyone will be surfing millook. It is a wave which is there but not the one in the description. Yeol mouth is a beyond weeny cove and allthough it does have a right and left wave, there are 400ft cliffs which prevent access. Nearest access is at higher sharpnose point which is a LONG paddle. Bring a boat. It all boils down to this, between bude and hartland point, all the waves are low tide beachies and the reefs are not doable because off dodgy cliff access. The reef at marsland and spekes are the only 2 real accessible options. You will catch the odd wave if you go looking but you will have to get down the cliffs to find out. All will be revealed in the forthcoming book by my mate Dan

To the guy below U are a legend, are u stil surfing??? good attitude get out there and explore and you,ve probably got the most right to complain about exposure seeeing as you seem to have been surfing long before the MTV/Ex channel rise of surfing. Makes me laugh anyway when 95% of surfers in water these days cant actually surf, and those that can are on the whole respectful. Too much moaning.....not enough surfing

Word up Litter mouth was breaking pretty well as a LEFT!!!!! when I saw it at about mid tide. Pretty funny, I expected a right like the website said but there was definately a left. I reckon access is off the point as the access is impossible. I went down there with a bunch of my mates and it was working pretty well but the light was dying. Wait for the book folks

this place is sick For christs sake, do yourselves a favour and invest in a rope ladder. walk down to litter mouth and lower it over the cliff where the stream emerges. This is the lowest point and is about a 30-40ft drop. strap on your leash and head out for absolutley the best paddling in the country. What? Paddling you say? Yes coz thats all you can expect to do here. there is nothing even resembling a point, or a reef, or a beachie - infact anything vaguely surfable. the headland goes straight down into deeper water, theres no platform or boulders. there is a a section of rock that runs parallel (and close) to the headland but this is narrow and at the wrong angle. there are also a couple of pinnacles that stick up, but your unlikely to get 200yard rides of these. so in summary - take the long walk, break your neck climbing the cliff, enjoy the fishing SICK!

Another local c**t Don't know what all the fuss is about, can't you climb up/down sheer cliff faces Kev. Well if not you could always try the paddle route - quite interesting if the swell is 4ft+So until any of you have surfed it and made it back alive leave local c**t alone.P.S Kev the waves near Plymouth go off this time of year don't they - like Portwrinkle pipeline. Better off staying there mate at least you can work out how to actually get to the wave.
