i grew up in south cornwall and surfed some cracking spots never gave the location away. i grew up and now make a living in exeter and try and hit different spots where the swell is working. why do people think they own certain spots because the live there. Travel and adventure is part of surfing, any surfer worth their salt should always be on the look out for new spots, home or away. if you went to scotland and got booted of a spot by the locals you would moan like a bitch, so why do people do it down here. what goes around comes around!!

Im getting increasingly fed up with fellow spongers and pencil pushers argueing over waves and breaks.. grow up! I had m first bit of agro off a surfer the other day and i just thought it was pathetic, bring out the trumpets!

cars targeted by local male bodyboarder
Increasing amount of peoples cars are being covered with surf wax, the problem is so bad it has now been reported to local authorities. Fellow surfers saw him in the car park on saturday morning ; approx 5'8 - 5'11 age 22 - 25 wearing a beanie hat,denim jeans, unshaven with a round face, Does anyone have any ideas who he is? We understand it gets busy at weekends but what he's doing is classed as vandalism. Rumour has it that spy cameras will be put up in and around bossiney car park to catch the vandal,

great spot, very fast and heavy. Absolute killer on big ol' winter swells. Everyone who is competent (and thats not that many, especially when its big) and respectfull is welcome to here without having to worry about where you happen to live. After all, no one owns waves and everyone surfs waves where they're not local from time to time

i went to bossiney the other day it was about 2 foot onshore and there was atleast 40 peole in the water 2 y7ears ago it would have been empty if your not from around here dont surf here

i wouldnt bother going there.The locals are nutters and last time i went i got my car smashed just for dropping in.Very Very localised, and they all rip so you cant slate or blame them!

No point slating the spongers mate, I have rarely seen a stand-up make a decent wave here! They shouldn't bother if they can't hack the power of the place!!

I've been surfing Bossiney a few years now and I agree with alot of the comments made etc etc. However, I went down to Bossiney yesterday and had a quick look from the cliffs before getting changed. I wathed 10 guys for about 20 mins paddling around and getting wiped off their arses EVERY TIME they made a good attempt at catching a wave. The waves were peaking at about 8 foot and then just ripping into big closing out barrels. Thses guys knew what they were doing and were getting sent down to the bottom for 10 seconds just about every time. Then 3 mothers came in and nearly drowned the fucking lot of them. If you are thinking of a trip down here then don't go in with big Winter swell unless your mad bad or stupid.

no your right, you havent been surfing here for 25 years. infact, you havent been surfing anywhere for 25 years. infact, you cant surf at all.
