The beach is directly below the northern end of the surfers carpark at Vazon. Requiring a relatively good sized swell to start working the beach at Vazon generally consists of slow predominately righthand waves breaking over the beach at the northern end of Vazon bay. Behaving differently depending upon the tide, low tide Vazon consists of steeper and more powerful waves that have a tendancy to close-out. Mid to high tide when on the push produces better shape, with fun right-hand walls all the way to the inside, unfortunately this is at the expense of power as the wave become slow and weak. On bigger tides the backwash from the seawall makes the beach unsurfable.
Overview
Atmosphere
Laid back atmosphere, although can get crowded on the weekends and during the summer holidays. An increasing amount of longboards sometimes makes catching a wave abit of a mission.
General
Can occasionally be good, cool place to hang out during the summer.

hrmmm
It may well be a long hold down, if you have never surfed outside Guernsey and you get it on a once a year over 6ft day. Really can not be equated to Pacific Island, Ozzie, or Indo hold downs.I have been here since Nov 2004 and have never seen a swell here that I would rate as decent (march 05). The occasional storm surf throws some messy 3-4ft mush but thats about it. Oh for some clean powerful groundswell....
